Terrestrial herb with sub erect stem, 50-80 cm or more long, 1-2 mm thick, stout, cylindrical. Branches many, pinnate. Rhizophores towards base, stout, cylindrical, dichotomously branched. Leaves heteromorphic, distant on main stem, closely arranged in four rows on branches; median leaves membranous, 2 x 0.5-0.9 mm, ovate, subacuminate or acuminate, oblique at base, margin entire, pellucid; lateral leaves membranous, 2.5-2.8 x 1.2-1.5 mm, oblong lanceolate, acute, base oblique, margin entire, pellucid; axillary leaves membranous, 2.5-2.7 x 1.3-1.5 mm, obovate or elliptic, rounded, margin entire, pellucid. Strobili 10-12.5 x 1-1.3 mm, sessile; sporophylls monomorphic; 1.5-1.8 x 0.5-0.8 mm, ovate, acuminate, margin serrulate, pellucid. Megasporangia towards base and microsporangia towards apex. Microspores 45-50 um in diameter, yellow, verrucoid, papillose. Macrospores 280-300 µm in diameter, pale brown, globose, tetrahedral, rugulose.
